A Wonderful Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends over.

Much good food.

Good conversation and fun family games.

Now I have to think about decorating for Christmas. I think the fall is so beautiful. My mission is to decorate an under decorated holiday. But, I do understand the challenge of decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Thanksgiving can easily get lost in between.

Time to pack these lovelies up.

Until next year friends.

Everyday we are Thankful. For you. For family. For friends and for all the bounty each day brings. God is good.

A Little Patriotism

You may want to consider that completing this project makes me just too late for July 4th. I would like to consider this early!
A long table runner for my buffet cabinet, a table topper and a pillow cover made from the left over scraps. You will see pictures next summer when I decorate for the fourth.

Bibbity Got a New Kitten

Remember this one? Bibbity has a new kitten this year. I made one for her from black felt with white embroidery for the face. This kitten reminded me of another kitten.

This is Perry. He doesn't sit like most cats.

James was awarded his palm. Just in time too. His 18th birthday was just a few days ago! Cameron has earned his Star rank. Good going guys!

Caramel Apples

A new tradition since moving to Colorado.

These are for those who like just caramel, and for those who just like chocolate (no white stuff please).

These are for everyone else.

Merry Go Round

We had a great time at Elitch Gardens. A reward for Cameron doing a good job managing homework during third trimester at school.

Having Fun with My Cricut

So, I am really having fun with the Cricut Explore since the "Love is Spoken Here" pillow and just had to make more!

Well, Here we go. Do you remember this project? http://mcmackinsnewgroove.blogspot.com/2014/12/a-little-pinterest-project.html

Could not stop.
Yeah, this one is a little nerdy. Christmas is coming! Don't disappoint me BBC.
However, my favorites are those inspired by primary songs.

Getting Ready for Valentines Day

This sweet pillow has been on my 'to do' list for a while. I recently purchase the Cricut Explore and instead of applique -- iron on. You can use the fonts on your own computer to make your projects. Too cool! The pillow is 16x16
This project was inspired by this:http://www.designmom.com/2010/10/a-few-things-37/

Here is the companion pillow. This project is made with wide satin ribbon on home spun. The inspiration for the project was made of burlap. I am not fond of the feel of burlap. Yes, this is decorative, but, you still want to invite your guests to sit and get comfortable.
The inspiration can be found here: http://www.yourhomebasedmom.com/valentine-pillow-tutorial-and-free-valentine-printable/

Brianna is 21

This is beautiful Brianna. We enjoyed a family dinner and games and cake. What kind of cake? Funfetti. You know I am a chocolate fan. I believe all birthday cakes are chocolate. Today - Funfetti.
