Double Rainbow

I do not take pictures of rainbows. But, I have to share what I saw while driving Cameron to scouts.

Do you see it? Two rainbows!

Extending across the sky. Do you see the second one above the brighter version?
Seriously across the sky.Amazing.

A Scarf for My Sister

Well that secret is out. What she might have to figure out is which color way I made for her. She will just have to wait for the package in the mail.

Raised Beds

Brian built these terraced raised beds for our raspberries, and other climbers.

Made from the fence that was replaced by the retaining wall.

Here is a strawberry.

and, here is the raised bed for the strawberries. We have 75+ plants in hopes of a productive spring.

Project Day Two

First came the painters tape over the white lines that made up the boarders of the states.

 And than, the colors.
Little kids, teens and adults came out to help.
 Here is James... supervising.

James decided to add his own detail to the map. We made stencils for the postal abbreviations for each state to add to the map.

All done. It looks great. Something that James can really be proud of.

Project Day One

James chose to paint the playground at our elementary school for his Eagle Project. A large map of the United States for play and for education.

The stencil is a large roll of paper with perforations in it.

When there is wind, this is just a little harder than it looks.

The boys taped the sheets together

And spray painted along the perforations.

And off went the paper. To think that this ball of trash was the most expensive supply for the project!

Than they brushed a thick line over the dots to outline the map.

 Finally, they were done!
